General Add comments

A wart is generally a small, rough tumor, typically on hands and feet, that can resemble a cauliflower or a solid blister; they can grow on all parts of your body including on your skin, on the inside of your mouth, on your genitals and on your rectal area. Some people are unfortunate enough to catch their warts from someone else, even if is only because they used their towel.

Warts on the genitals are very contagious and can be passed to another person during oral, vaginal or anal sex but warts are usually painless with the exception of the warts on the soles of the feet. Unfortunately for women, they may have genital warts on their cervix for some time until their doctor gives them a routine examination; the warts inside the vagina may go unnoticed even for years.

There isn’t normally any reason to have warts removed as they don’t prove normally to be a problem but if they are the result of an incision then they can start spreading especially if picked at. Many people have warts removed as they do not look pleasant or to stop them infecting other areas but even if the warts are removed there is no guarantee they will not return. A common method of removing them is by the application of liquid nitrogen and after a few treatments they usually drop of but this has to be performed by a doctor.

Common warts are a type of infection caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus family but there are many different types. The common wart is just one of over one hundred which are known each with very specific target areas especially those highly contagious forms found around the male and female sex organs and the anus.

Some people are more naturally resistant to the human papillomavirus viruses and don’t seem to get warts as easily as other people but for those who are more susceptible, even biting your nails can also cause warts to spread on your fingertips and around your nails. It is the warts on fingers that are common warts with their cauliflower appearance often with little black specks that are in fact small blood vessels where the blood has clotted.

Another type of wart is the flat wart that just rises above the surface of the skin and is ‘flat’; these tend to appear more on areas of the face, arms or legs and will sometimes be seen in very large groups. Ano-genital warts are flesh to gray in color, grow in mucous membranes, and vary in size from small, shiny papules, to large cauliflower like lesions and can extend internally into the vagina and cervix, the rectal area, and inside the urethra.

It is quite common for warts to disappear on their own although it can take years for this to happen or as short as a few months, but some warts are stubborn and require additional treatment. Ointments containing salicylic acid are the most popular forms of wart and verruca removal but the instructions must be followed to the letter if the treatment is t be successful. It is also good to know that natural wart mole removal remedies can be used successfully. To learn more about them simply look for wart and mole removal remedies online.
