When we inhale at a quicker rate it has the opposite effect and helps stimulate our energies towards activity.
To harmonize the two main energies that exist in the body and are often compared to those that are involved in electricity, we learn to practise exercises known in yoga teaching under the term pranayama.
One of the main disciplines is an exercises is for the purpose of regulating the flow of our breath equally through the right and left nostrils. This allows the brain itself to directly benefit from the electrical and magnetic energies before subsequently being passed to the lungs.
