How to Stop Sweating so Much in 3 Easy Steps

General No Comments »

If you’re trying to figure out how to stop sweating, I understand your pain. It can be difficult dealing with excessive sweating, especially when in social or intimate situations. When your body sweats in excessive amounts, you have what is known as Hyperhidrosis. This is a condition which is affects over 3% of the population so no need to feel left out in your plight. The good news is, you don’t have to suffer the continual embarrassment and self-esteem hits, there are ways to get around this issue and lead a normal lifestyle. Here are a few ways how to stop sweating:

  1. Choose your clothing Carefully

You want to avoid wearing dark clothing out in the sun as dark colors absorb heat which will result in excess sweating for you. Sure sweat doesn’t show up as well on a black top, but if you’re looking to prevent sweating, go for lighter colored clothes.

Additionally, try wearing looser fitted clothes. Clothes which fit loose are less likely to constrain you and thus cause unnecessary sweating. This note not only goes out to the women, but my body-building brethren who are into the muscle shirts.

Finally if you really want to figure out how to stop sweating so much, you’re going to have to change your wardrobe around a bit. When it comes to clothes, you want to make sure the clothes are of natural breathable fibres. When I say that I’m basically referring to 100% wool, 100% cotton, merino and cashmere are good. However you want to avoid as much as possible silk, corduroy, polyester, nylon and flannel.

  1. Excersise More!

Another way how to stop sweating applies to those of you who are out of shape. The fact of the matter is, the more adipose tissue(we’re talking fat here buddy) you have, the more you’re going to sweat. Why is this? Fat gets in the way of the natural heat exchange between your body and it’s surrounding environment, so the less body fat you have the better. Develop the habit of hitting the gym, get on a healthy eating plan and loose those extra pounds. Not only will you sweat less but you’ll look and feel better as well!

3. Stop the Cigs, Stop the Starbucks

The final way how to stop sweating like mad is to cut back on your coffee drinking and/or cigarette smoking. Both of these activities result in an increase in blood pressure, heart rate and subsequently anxiety levels and perspiration. If you’re a smoker, begin cutting back on the amount of cigarettes you smoke each day. It may not be easy, but it will definitely help. And with the whole coffee craze all of the world seems to be in with Starbucks popping up all over the place, you’re going to want to indulge a bit less in your grade lattes.

How To Find The Best Weight Loss Program For You

General No Comments »

Are you wanting to lose weight? Looking for the best weight loss program you can find? I hate to tell you something you already know, but the number of options available to you is a bit like asking "how long is a piece of string?" If this is your first time looking for a weight loss program, its quite understandable that you wouldn’t know what to look for, so hopefully we can help you out here. I

Firstly, before we embark on a massive undertaking to try and decipher all the weight loss programs that are available, you need to ask yourself some questions. Do you have time to go to weight loss meetings? Most local weight loss programs have a weekly meeting schedule, and most also say that these meetings are paramount to your success. If your lifestyle will not allow you to participate in weekly meetings, you may need to look at joining an online weight loss program, so that time is not an issue.

Another question that you will need to answer is, how’s your willpower? Online weight loss programs will give you more freedom, because you don’t have to report to a meeting and answer to anyone. But this requires far more willpower than if you do have to front up on a weekly basis, and this one key factor has been responsible for many a follower to go off track. If your willpower could use a little work, it may be a better bet for you to join a local weight loss program instead.

Yet another question you need to ask yourself is, how much money can you afford to spend? Sure, there are free weight loss programs available both online and locally, but they are pretty rare, and I would be skeptical due to the age old adage that you get what you pay for. There are usually a range of membership fees available both online and locally, and generally speaking, online programs are cheaper. But it depends on how you wish to measure the cost. If you have found that your willpower won’t help you too much in your weight loss efforts, but have embarked on an online program anyway, chances are that your success will be limited, so any money you spend will be wasted.

You also need to remember that weight loss programs in general do not promote rapid weight loss, so the charges associated with the weight loss program that you choose have to be figured into your decision for the long term.

Another consideration is, how do you currently feel about your physical appearance and your current weight? If you feel ashamed – even though you shouldn’t – no amount of convincing will change that, although in the majority of cases, these thoughts change once you have your first bit of success on a weight loss program. But if, at the commencement of your weight loss journey, you feel down or embarrassed, you may not feel inclined to join a local weight loss meeting.

If the other factors mean that the local weight loss program is the best for you, but you are feeling ashamed or embarrassed, just remember that the others that are attending probably either still feel that way, or at least did feel that way when they first joined.

This is really just to give you some things to think about as you look at what is best for you when joining a weight loss program, there are benefits and drawbacks with both local and online weight loss programs.
